Preliminary Work

  1. Remove rear profile seal for front lid. → 553319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SEAL FOR FRONT LID
  2. Remove both wiper arms. → 922519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WIPER ARM
  3. Remove cowl panel cover. → 664419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COWL PANEL COVER
  4. Remove wiper linkage. To do this, complete Steps 1-4 in → 921519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WIPER MOTOR .
  5. Remove front cover (engine compartment). → 700219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT COVER (ENGINE COMPARTMENT)
  6. Remove left and right cross panel. → 508119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CROSS PANEL
  7. Raise the vehicle. → 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE
  8. Remove engine guard by loosening the screws -arrows-  under the transmission.

  9. Remove protective plate.
    1. 9.1. Remove nuts -2-  from the protective plate -1-  .
    2. 9.2. Lower the vehicle.
    3. 9.3. Remove screw -3-  from the protective plate.
    4. 9.4. Remove protective plate.
