Installing Trailing Arm

  1. Install trailing arm (fit to rear-axle carrier side section, diagonal arm and wheel bearing housing). Replace all lock nuts.

    Observe correct tightening torques. → Tightening Torques For Rear Axle 

    1. 1.1. Fit transverse control arm -2-  on the rear-axle carrier side section and wheel bearing housing -2a-  . Set the basic position of the toe eccentrics at the marked position on the rear-axle carrier side section.
    2. 1.2. Fit diagonal arm on the transverse control arm -2-  .
    3. 1.3. Mount connecting link (suspension/stabilizer) -3-  on the anti-roll bar. Counter while tightening the nuts.

  2. On vehicles with range adjustment, fit the strut from the sensor on the trailing arm (left side only).
