Subsequent Work

Information 

The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally (→ 1001IN TIGHTENING TORQUES, TIGHTENING SEQUENCES, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEWS ).

Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

  1. Fit oil guide/oil plate.

  2. Install the oil pump. → Installing Oil Pump
  3. Install cylinder heads. → Installing Cylinder Head
  4. Fit timing chain. → Installing Timing Chain
  5. Fit timing-case cover. → Installing Timing-Case Cover
  6. Fit oil pan and oil guide housing. → Installing Oil Guide Housing
  7. Fill in engine oil. For details, see → 170117 DRAINING AND FILLING ENGINE OIL (CHANGING ENGINE OIL)
  8. Remove engine from the assembly support.
  9. Mount the transmission. → Mounting Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
  10. Install the engine. → Installing Engine
