Subsequent Work

  1. Remove engine safety device. → 1001IN SUPPORTING ENGINE ON THE BODY (ENGINE SAFETY DEVICE)
  2. Fit plenum panel cover.

    → Installing Plenum Panel Cover

  3. Fit air guides to the two lower trailing arms. Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

  4. Fit connecting link on the spring strut on both sides. → Installing Front Connecting Link (Suspension/Stabilizer) 
  5. Fit universal joint. Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) +90° 
    1. 5.1. Vehicles with Servotronic: Plug in connectors -1-  .

  6. Fit heat protection panel -1-  between the universal joint for the steering gear and the primary catalytic converter. Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

  7. Fit fastening screws on engine mount. Tightening torque 65 Nm (48 ftlb.) 
  8. On all-wheel-drive vehicles, fit inner drive shafts. Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 ftlb.) +90° 
  9. Fit front-axle support at the front -1-  . Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)

  10. Bleed the steering system. → 4890IN TEST AND ASSEMBLY WORK ON POWER STEERING
  11. Bleed PDCC (if installed). → 430307 BLEEDING PORSCHE DYNAMIC CHASSIS CONTROL (PDCC)
  12. Fit front wheel housing liner on the left and right. → 505619 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER
  13. Fit underbody panelling. → 519219 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING COVER FOR FRONT UNDERBODY
  14. Fit the front wheels. → 440519 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING WHEEL
  15. Press the brake pedal if necessary in order to position the pads.
  16. Read out and erase the fault memory using PIWIS Tester II 9818  .
  17. Perform suspension alignment. → 449503 SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT, COMPLETE
