Removing Front Anti-Roll Bar

WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly
  • Risk of squashing
  • Risk of damage to components

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).

WARNING: Caustic fluids
  • Danger of chemical burns

→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.

→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

  1. Support anti-roll bar using a mounting jack.
  2. Place a suitable container underneath to catch any emerging Pentosin.

    Information 

    PDCC chassis:

    • Steel flexi-pipes are particularly sensitive to kinking and crushing. 
    • Treat the steel flexi-pipes with great care when removing, storing and reinstalling the anti-roll bar. 
    • Make sure that the steel flexi-pipes are not subject to any mechanical loads during the following operations. 
    • When removing, mark the installation position of the lines using a touch-up stick. 
    • When installing, make sure that the clamp is seated correctly. 
    • The steel flexi-pipes must not be twisted when installed under any circumstances. 
  3. Disconnect lines -3-  .
    1. 3.1. Loosen cap screws -1-  .
    2. 3.2. Unscrew clamp -2-  .
    3. 3.3. Secure lines -3-  to prevent them from falling down and close them off with suitable stoppers.
    4. 3.4. Remove lines -3-  .

  4. Loosen fastening screw -1-  from the suspension/stabilizer on both sides of the vehicle.

    Counter at the fastening nut -2-  while doing this.

  5. Press suspension/stabilizer outwards.
  6. Remove anti-roll bar.
