Installing B-Pillar Reinforcement

Information

Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive.
The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed.
Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available.

Apply adhesive. → Application depth: 3.0 mm
Working with body structural adhesive → 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE

Fit inner B-pillar panel. To do this, insert the inner B-pillar panel at the bottom first, slide it down fully -arrow A- and then slide it up and into position -arrow B- .

Weld in B-pillar reinforcement.
1. 4.1. Resistance spot-weld the B-pillar reinforcement.

2. 4.2. Plug-weld the B-pillar reinforcement using inert gas.

Prepare and install center side member. → 514855 REPLACING CENTRE SIDE MEMBER
Prepare and install B-pillar. → 514155 REPLACING B-PILLAR
Prepare and install outer side member. → 514555 REPLACING OUTER SIDE MEMBER
