Removing Roof Pillar

Remove A-pillar. → 511255 REPLACING A-PILLAR
Remove B-pillar reinforcement. → 514255 REPLACING B-PILLAR REINFORCEMENT
Remove rear side panel (roof removed). → 535555 REPLACING REAR SIDE PANEL (ROOF REMOVED)
Support upper front roof frame with a support.
Cut through all plates. → Distance: 40 mm → Distance: 180 mm

Remove welded joints securing roof pillar to front roof pillar at the top.
1. 6.1. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill Nr.129 .

2. 6.2. Bend up sheetmetal bracket -arrow- .

3. 6.3. Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.

4. 6.4. Remove roof pillar.

  Drill out spotwelds A through two plate thicknesses.
Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill Nr.129 .

Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.

Remove remaining piece of roof pillar at the front.
Remove remaining piece of roof pillar at the rear.
1. 10.1. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill

2. 10.2. Heat up connection areas using a hot-air gun.

3. 10.3. Remove remaining piece of roof pillar at the rear.
Remove remaining piece of inner roof pillar panel at the rear.
