Installing Generator

  1. Connect electric plug connections.
    1. 1.1. Fit the generator.
    2. 1.2. Position terminal 30 line and tighten fastening nut -1-  . → Tightening torque: 18 Nm (13 ftlb.) 
    3. 1.3. Close cover on terminal 30 line -arrow A-  .
    4. 1.4. Clip in line on the generator using the retaining clip -arrow B-  .
    5. 1.5. Plug in the connector -arrow C-  until it engages securely.

  2. Install the generator.
    1. 2.1. Fit the generator -arrow A-  and place it above the holder in installation position -arrow B-  .
    2. 2.2. Tighten fastening screws -1-  . → Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)

  3. Secure the fuel line.
    1. 3.1. Using the rubber sleeves -1-  , carefully press the fuel line into the two brackets -arrows-  .

  4. Secure the power-steering pump pulley with three fastening screws.
  5. Raise and secure the engine.
    1. 5.1. Carefully raise the engine using the jack.
    2. 5.2. Screw on the four fastening nuts -2-  on the engine mounting -1-  . → Tightening torque: 65 Nm (48 ftlb.) 
    3. 5.3. Move the jack out of the work area.
