Suspension alignment of the Cayenne differs only in minor respects from that of conventional suspension alignment. This concerns vehicle height adjustment, wheel-load difference from left to right, special tools and corrections to wheel alignment.

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

-A-	> V.A.G 1332/9 - Ring wrench insert, a/f 24 - for tightening the lock nut(s) on the front tie rod(s) to the specified tightening torque > Refer to the appropriate Tightening Torques For Front Axle service information , section on "Steering gear". Can also be used for loosening.
-B-	Insert for torque wrench: > T10188 - Insert tool - For tightening the lock nuts on the camber and caster eccentric adjusters on the front axle to the specified tightening torque. > Refer to the appropriate Tightening Torques For Front Axle service information , section on "Trailing arm". Can also be used for loosening.
-C-	Torque wrench, covering the range between 70 Nm (52 ftlb.) and 180 Nm (133 ftlb.). - Commercially available; use together with tools A and B.

Modified quick-clamping holders -picture- (for fastening the measured-value pickups on the wheels) are used for the Cayenne. These measured-value pickups are positioned (with the claws first) centrally in the center of the rim and tautened clockwise in the rim with the straining ring. The order number for the new clamping devices will be included in the Workshop Equipment Manual.

Quick-clamping holder

Existing quick-clamping holders (old type) can be retrofitted by replacing the left and right clamping units.
