Engine power and exhaust behavior of the vehicle are not affected. The sport exhaust system is also available as a factory installed option for new vehicles by requesting optional equipment "0P8/0P9".
The DME control unit must be re-programmed on vehicles with an older software version. Please see Step 6.4.

Information
The > P90999 - PIWIS Tester 4 instructions take precedence since the description may be different with later Tester releases.
The procedure described here has been structured in general terms; different text or additions may appear on the > P90999 - PIWIS Tester 4.

Remove levelling system (selector switch).
- Code sports exhaust system.
- 6.1 Connect a battery charger.
- 6.2 > 9900 - PIWIS Tester III must now be connected and the ignition switched on.
- 6.3 Select the required vehicle type. PIWIS Tester III Diagnostics starts.
- 6.4 Select DME control unit.
Press F11 to confirm the question "Create vehicle analysis log (VAL)"?.
Switch to the Extended identifications menu.
Check that the following software version (program and data status) is installed:
Cayenne Turbo (2nd gen. 92A V8 Turbo) W10C xxxxxxxxxxx or higher, e.g. W10D...
Cayenne S (2nd gen. 92A V6 Turbo) W09C xxxxxxxxxxx or higher, e.g. W09D...
Yes: Switch to the Overview menu. Continue with Step 6.5.
No: Program the DME control unit with the new software.
Switch to the Programming menu and follow the instructions on > 9900 - PIWIS Tester III. When programming is complete, continue with Step 6.5.

Maintenance of vehicle data.

- 6.5.2 Select the Maintenance of vehicle data function. Press F12 until PR numbers appears in the Value group column.

Open the sub-menu in the Value column and select 0P8 - Sport exhaust system or 0P9 - Sport exhaust system, black tailpipe. Press F12 to continue.

is entered. Close the log.
Press F11 to switch to the control unit overview.

Switch to the Codings/adaptations menu.
