Overview of adapters - Macan

Information

If you do not have a suitable adapter for the expansion valve, you can also drill out the removed expansion valve (the old expansion valve must be replaced in most cases and is therefore no longer required) .
Before drilling out the old expansion valve, remove the control element and drill out the expansion valve using a suitable drill bit (e.g. drill bit diameter: 6.0 mm) .
Some parts may have to be removed from the expansion valve before drilling, depending on the type of expansion valve .

Overview of adapters for cleaning the refrigerant circuit

	Desiccator	Expansion valve	Refrigerant lines on air-conditioning compressor	Condenser
Macan as of model year 2014	Remove desiccator from condenser and reinstall stopper. Install new condenser with desiccator after cleaning.	Remove expansion valve and replace it with adapter WE 1852 . Install new expansion valve after cleaning.	Remove air-conditioning compressor and screw adapter WE 1845 and adapter WE 1848 securely onto the refrigerant lines. Install new air-conditioning compressor after cleaning.	Remove desiccator from condenser and re-install stopper. Install new condenser with desiccator after cleaning.
