Installing Brake Shoes

1. Brake Shoes
2. Adjustment Device
3. Compression Springs
4. Tension Springs

Installation is performed in reverse order.

Align the entire unit in the middle.

1. Remove tie-wrap at actuator for parking brake.
2. Insert brake shoes with adjustment device -1 and 2-  .
   WARNING: Preloaded or pressurized components

   • Risk of injury (e.g. crushing or bruising) when removing and installing springs.

   → Do not reach into the danger area.

   → Relieve the tension on components before starting work.

   → Secure components to prevent them from loosening suddenly.

   → Wear protective gloves and goggles.

   → Be very careful when working on the brake system.

3. Engage both tension springs -4-  .
4. Install compression springs -3-  and plug in speed sensor connector again.
