Adjusting Convertible Top
Information
The tensioning elements of the weather protector fins must be adjusted so that there is a slight preload when the rear lid is closed completely.
The preload is set at the tensioning element joint by adjusting the holes on the convertible top covering.
- The preload must be equal on the left and right.
- Open the rear lid -1- (-arrow A-) .
- Unclip lid support -2- from the rear lid and fit it into the mounting point at the left -3- in front of the convertible top compartment -arrow B- .
- Pull tensioning elements for the weather protector fins -1- off the red tension bars -2- on the rear lid -arrows A- .
- Fold over the convertible top covering -1- (-arrow-) and open the Velcro fastener -2- on the fabric cover -3- .
- Unscrew fastening screws -1- on the tensioning element -2- and remove it -arrow A- .
- Take off the convertible top covering -3- (-arrow B-) .
- To increase the preload, use a scratch awl -1- (or scissors) to move the holes on the convertible top covering -2- inwards.
- Position the convertible top covering -3- on the fabric cover in such a way that the new holes are aligned with the bores in the spring plate -arrow A- .
- Position the tensioning element -2- and secure with the fastening screws -1- (-arrow B-).
- Fold the tensioning element -1- over by 90° -arrow A- .
- Fold over the Velcro fastener -2- on the fabric cover -3- (-arrows B- ) and press it on -arrow C- .
- Attach the tensioning element of the weather protector fins -1- to the red tension bars -2- on the rear lid -arrows- until the tension elements lock with an audible click.
- Lift the rear lid up slightly and clip the lid support into the mount on the rear lid -arrow A- .
- Close the rear lid -arrow B- and press down on the lock area with the palm of your hand.
- Check the preload and correct it if necessary.
