Removing Front Wheel Housing (Section)

  1. Remove front side member (section). → Removing Front Side Member (Section) 
  2. Determining the cut
    1. 2.1. Mark position of cut on front wheel housing at dimension -X= 140 mm-  from cut on inner side member against the direction of travel so that the outer side member is offset with respect to the front wheel housing.

  3. Cutting through front wheel housing
    1. 3.1. Cut through the front wheel housing at the marked separation points -A-  and -B-  using the oscillating body saw. Do not damage internal components when doing this.

  4. Milling off spotwelds
    1. 4.1. Mill off spotwelds in area -A-  using a spotweld cutter.
