Removing Exhaust Manifold With Catalytic Converter

CAUTION: Hot components
  • Risk of burns

→ Let hot components cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

  1. Exhaust manifold with catalytic converter, side 1-3
    1. 1A  - Exhaust manifold with catalytic converter, side 4-6
  2. Metal seal - always replace
  3. Lambda sensors - grease thread with Optimol Paste MF before refitting
  4. External Torx screw, M8 x 21
  5. Metal seal for three-hole flange - always replace
  1. Unscrew three M8 lock nuts on the three-hole flange for the rear silencer. 1.1. Replace M8 lock nuts.
  2. Unscrew nine external Torx screws (M8 x 21) -2-  and remove exhaust manifold with catalytic converter -1-  .
    1. 2.1. Remove and replace metal seal.
