Removing Rear-Axle Cross Member

  1. Remove restraining cables on rear-axle cross member.

    Loosen and screw off nuts -1-  and remove restraining cables from the rear-axle cross member -arrows-  .

  2. Remove heat protection cover at the right.

    Screw off nuts -1-  and remove heat protection cover -2-  .

  3. Remove rear-axle cross member.
    1. 3.1. Unclip electric plug connections on the rear-axle cross member at the left and right.

      Unclip electric plug connections -1-  for the oxygen sensors on the rear-axle cross member at the left and right from the brackets. Unclip line -2-  from the bracket.

    2. 3.2. Unscrew screws -1-  (M10 x 45) on the rear-axle cross member -2-  and remove rear-axle cross member -2-  .

      Be careful with the bracket for the headlight levelling system.
