Installing Rear-Axle Cross Member

Information 

  1. Install rear-axle cross member.
    1. 1.1. Fit rear-axle cross member -2-  and screw in and tighten screws -1-  (M10 x 45) on the rear-axle cross member -2-  .

      Be careful with the bracket for the headlight levelling system.

      → Tightening torque: 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)

    2. 1.2. Clip in electric plug connections on the rear-axle cross member.

      Clip electric plug connections -1-  for the oxygen sensors on the rear-axle cross member at the left and right into the brackets.

  2. Install heat protection cover at the right.

    Fit heat protection cover -2-  and screw on and tighten nuts -1-  .

  3. Fit restraining cables on rear-axle cross member.

    Fit restraining cables into the rear-axle cross member -arrows-  and screw on and tighten nuts -1-  .

    → Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
