Installing function module

  1. Fit/install the function module. To do this, get a second mechanic to carefully spread the coolant hoses (press them outward).

    1. 1.1. Fit/install the function module and holder and tighten the four Torx screws on the mounting -3-  .
    2. 1.2. Fit central screw -4-  at the front
    3. 1.3. Align and tighten the function module.

      Tightening sequence: 

      • Holder to body. Tighten four M10 Torx screws -3-  to 65 Nm (48 ftlb.).
      • Tighten central screw -4-  to 20 Nm (15 ftlb.).
      • Tighten two M8 screws -2-  to 20 Nm (15 ftlb.).
  2. Fit (screw on) the two pressure lines at the valve block. Right and left is marked on the valve block -R and L-  .
    1. 2.1. Plug in pressure lines until the marking (white control ring on each of the blue lines) is approx. 1 to 2 mm away -arrows-  from the connecting piece (hexagon nut).

      Then tighten the connecting piece (hexagon nut) on both lines.

  3. Plug in three connectors at the rear. Check the coding on the right and left connectors (black and white colour coding).
