Preliminary work for removing function module

Switch off ignition.
Remove cover for front and centre underbody.
→ Removing cover for front underbody

→ Removing cover for centre underbody
Remove TPM antenna -2- and coolant pipe holder -3- (at the front).

1. 3.1. Release TPM connector -1- and pull it off.
2. 3.2. Disengage holder from TPM antenna at the holder for coolant pipes and slide it backwards at the same time.
3. 3.3. Remove TPM antenna -2- from the coolant pipes.
4. 3.4. Release front coolant pipe holder -arrow- and slide it backwards at the same time. Then unclip and remove the holder.
Remove rear coolant pipe holder -1- .

1. 4.1. Unclip vacuum line from the holder.
2. 4.2. Unclip wiring harness from the holder.
3. 4.3. Release coolant pipe holder -1- and slide it forward at the same time.
4. 4.4. Pull coolant pipe holders -1- from the coolant pipes alternately (always one side only/then the other side).
Loosen two coolant pipe holders at the front left and right. To do this, unscrew the M6 screw -arrows- .

Depressurise the system (bleed air from pressure accumulator).
To do this, remove (unscrew) the black protection cap on the release valve -1- and carefully press on the valve insert using a suitable object or use a valve screwdriver Nr.164 Pos.5 to unscrew the valve insert. Be very careful as there can be up to 17 bar pressure here. Wear protective gloves, goggles and ear protectors!
