Function module components

The "electro-pneumatic function module" -1-  , as a main component of the front-axle lift system, is installed in the centre tunnel.

The complete module -1-  , consisting of the main components -2 to 7-  , is supplied as a spare part. Not all individual parts of the module -1-  are available as spare parts (see PET main group 4).

1. Electro-pneumatic function module
2. Pressure accumulator (not available as a spare part)
3. Pressure switch (switches pneumatic compressor on/off when the engine is running)
4. Pneumatic compressor (not available as a spare part)
5. Pressure switch (do not confuse No. 5 and No. 6)
6. Pressure switch (do not confuse No. 5 and No. 6)
7. Valve block unit (not available as a spare part)
8. Right and left pressure lines (two pieces each) for front-axle spring strut (underside of damper)

• Operational readiness
• Warning messages in the event of faults
• Operating instructions
• Automatic overload cut-out
• Information about risk of damage  as a result of uncontrolled lowering of the front axle when the engine is stopped unless the vehicle is lowered.
