Installing Engine Carrier

→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

Information 

• It may only be supported over a large area at the oil pan. 
• Localized loading is not permitted. 

1. Fit engine carrier -1-  and holder for rear silencer -2-  and secure with four external Torx screws (E14, M10).
   1. 1.1. Fit and tighten screws uniformly.
   2. 1.2. Two M10 x 70 screws at the top -4-  .
   3. 1.3. Two M10 x 80 screws at the bottom -3-  .

   4. 1.4. → Tightening torque: 65 Nm (48 ft. lb.) 
2. Raise engine into installation position with transmission jack.
3. Fit M12 x 1.5 collar nuts -5-  on the threaded bolt for the engine mounting and tighten them.

   → Tightening torque: 85 Nm (63 ft. lb.) 

4. Transmission and unit jack Junior Jack 2.0 WE 1223  and GA passenger car transmission plate WE 1224  can now be removed from the work area.
5. Secure vacuum line for the exhaust valves on the engine carrier.
   1. 5.1. Secure the rubberized clamps for the vacuum line with three external Torx screws (E10).

      → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
