Removing Left Radiator
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
- Remove transverse strut.
Unscrew two M6 hexagon-head bolts -2- and remove the transverse strut -1- .
- Disconnect cable plug for fan motor.
Release and disconnect cable plug -arrow- .
WARNING: Hot fluid- Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
Information
Despite the fact that the coolant has been drained, residual amounts of coolant can still emerge at the joints during removal. Have sufficient collecting containers and cloths to hand.
- Disconnect coolant hoses.
Release spring clamps -arrows- at the Henn couplings and pull off coolant hoses -1- .
Make sure that the spring clamps -arrows- are not overstretched.
- Remove left radiator module.
- 4.1. Unscrew two M8 collar nuts -1- .
- 4.2. Disconnect plug-in coupling -2- by pressing the locking lugs and pull off the vent line.
- 4.3. Unscrew two hexagon-head bolts (M8 x 25) -3- and remove the left radiator module -4- .

- Remove the cooling fan housing.
- 5.1. Loosen the hose holder.
Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 16) -arrow- on the hose holder.
- 5.2. Disconnect both coolant hoses from the connection pieces at the radiator.
Loosen the spring band clamps -arrows- and pull the coolant hoses off the connection pieces.
- 5.3. Unclip sheetmetal clips.
- 5.4. Remove the cooling fan housing.
- 5.4.1. Unscrew two M6 hexagon-head tapping screws -1- .
- 5.4.2. Remove the cooling fan housing and rear air guide from the tabs on the side radiator -2- .
- 5.1. Loosen the hose holder.
