Removing Coolant Regulator

Information 

• Collect emerging coolant in a suitable pan. 

Information 

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

• Torx screws: (E..) for external Torx, (T..) for internal Torx. 
• Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f) 

→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.

→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

1. Disconnect coolant hoses -1-  from the coolant regulator housing.
   1. 1.1. Loosen screw-type clamps -2-  .
   2. 1.2. Remove spring clamp -3-  from the Henn coupling and pull off coolant hose.

2. Remove cover on coolant regulator housing -1-  .
   1. 2.1. Unscrew three hexagon socket head bolts (M6 x 35, a/f 5) -2-  on the housing cover.
   2. 2.2. Pull housing cover out of the coolant hoses.
   3. 2.3. Remove housing cover with coolant regulator.

      Be careful with the coolant regulator!

3. Remove coolant regulator -1-  from the housing cover.

4. Replace O-ring -1-  in the housing cover.
