Installing Coolant Regulator
Information
Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:
- Torx screws: (E..) for external Torx, (T..) for internal Torx.
- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)
Information
- The coolant hoses must lock with an audible click when pushed into the plug-in couplings.
Information
- Check O-rings on the plug-in couplings and replace them if necessary.
- Clean plug connection and coolant hoses before assembly.
- Coat O-rings and coolant hoses with Kluber Plus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93).
- Remove stoppers before fitting the coolant lines and hoses.
- Fit new O-ring -1-
in the housing cover.
- 1.1. Lightly grease O-ring with the specified lubricant.
- Position coolant regulator -1- in the housing cover.
- Fit housing cover -1-
with coolant regulator.
- 3.1. Fit adapter in the coolant hoses and guide the coolant regulator into the housing at the same time.
- 3.2. Align the housing cover on the housing flange and secure with three hexagon socket head bolts (a/f 5, M6 x 35) -2- .
- 3.3. Tighten hexagon socket head bolts.
→ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- Secure the coolant hoses.
- 4.1. Tighten two screw-type clamps.
→ Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2 ft. lb.)
- 4.2. Fit spring clamp -3- on the Henn coupling.
- 4.3. Position coolant hose with O-ring and fit it into the Henn coupling.
- 4.4. Pull on the hose to check that it is seated correctly.
- 4.1. Tighten two screw-type clamps.
- Position coolant hose with O-ring and fit it into the Henn coupling.
