Preliminary Work

Disconnect battery.
→ 2X00IN02 WORK INSTRUCTIONS AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY .
Remove pressure pipe.
→ 214119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PRESSURE PIPE .
Remove air cleaner housing.
→ 242419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR-CLEANER ELEMENT .
WARNING:
Danger of objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
Lower the engine.
Lower the engine by max. 40 mm.

Support the engine with a jack and Retainer Plate 9592 .

Loosen and screw off M12 collar nuts on the engine mounting. Carefully lower the engine using the jack.
Remove fuel filter.
→ 206019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FINE FUEL FILTER .
Remove secondary-air pump.
→ 26651900 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SECONDARY-AIR PUMP .
Remove oil-filter console.
→ 173319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OIL-FILTER CONSOLE .
Remove intake-air distributor, side 1-3.
→ 244620 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INTAKE-AIR DISTRIBUTOR .
Remove shut-off valve.
→ 266919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SHUT-OFF VALVE .
