→ Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
→ Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
→ Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
→ Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.
→ The outer jacking points should be used primarily.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Place protective covers on the vehicle to avoid damaging the vehicle.WARNING: Coolant is hazardous to health.
- Risk of skin irritation.
→ Wear protective gloves and goggles.
→ In the event of contact with the skin or eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water.
WARNING: Risk of injury from hot engine and hot engine fluids.- Danger of burns, scalding, damage to skin, injury to the eyes.
→ Do not carry out work on the engine while it is hot.
- Drain coolant.
- Remove air cleaner housing.

- Remove tailpipe covers.

→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

- It may only be supported over a large area at the oil pan.
- Localized loading is not permitted.
Information
- When lowering, the engine must not rest on the rear axle cross member.
- Lower the engine.
- 6.1. Support the engine at the oil pan using the Hydraulic Jack HH2 WE 1033 and transmission jack plate of Transmission Jack VAG 1383 A WE 1082 .
- 6.2. Alternative To Transmission Jack Plate:
Screw on the Mounting Peg 9163/2 in the middle using a wooden board (40 x 30 cm) and use it as a support.

- 6.3. Loosen and unscrew two M12 special nuts (internal Torx, screw insert T55) -1- on the engine mounting (hydraulic mount) at the left and right.
- 6.4. Slowly lower the engine with the hydraulic jack.
