Installing Turbocharger Oil Tank
WARNING:
Vehicle can fall down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle
→ Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
→ Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
→ Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
→ Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.
→ The outer jacking points should be used primarily.
Information
Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:
- Torx screws: (E..) for external Torx, (T..) for internal Torx.
- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)
Information
- Replace all gaskets and O-rings.
- Use the lubricant Kluber Syntheso Glep (Part No. 000.043.204.68).
- Install oil tank.
- 1.1. Fit oil tank from below, inserting the vent line into the oil tank at the same time.
- 1.2. Fit and tighten two fastening screws (E10, M6 x 25) -1-
on the oil tank.
→ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- Fit and tighten fastening screw (E10, M6 x 12) -4-
on the heat shield.
→ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- Fit oil return line and vent line for the turbocharger at the oil tank.
- 3.1. Fit and tighten fastening screw (E10, M6 x 12) -5-
for the vent line -6-

→ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- 3.2. Insert oil return line -2-
into the oil tank -arrow-
and fit the fastening screw (E10, M6 x 12) -3-
. Tighten the screw.
→ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- 3.3. Fit and tighten fastening screw (E10, M6 x 12) for the oil return line holder -1-
.
→ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- 3.1. Fit and tighten fastening screw (E10, M6 x 12) -5-
for the vent line -6-
