Removing Turbocharger Oil Tank

CAUTION: Hot components

→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

  1. Remove oil return line and vent line on turbocharger oil tank.
    1. 1.1. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -1-  at the oil return line support -6-  .
    2. 1.2. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -2-  for the oil return line at the oil tank.
    3. 1.3. Pull oil return line out of the oil tank -arrow-  and collect draining oil.
    4. 1.4. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -3-  for vent line -5-  .
    5. 1.5. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 12) -4-  for shield.

  2. Remove oil tank.
    1. 2.1. Unscrew two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 25) -1-  at the oil tank.

    2. 2.2. Remove oil tank in a downward direction. Pull the vent line -5-  out of the oil tank when doing so -arrow-  .
