Installing Electronic Adjuster - Cylinder Bank 4-6

  1. Before installing the electronic adjuster, press the new actuating rod onto the ball joint of the removed electronic adjuster.

    Information 

    Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

    • Torx screws: (E..) for external Torx, (T..) for internal Torx. 
    • Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f) 
  2. Fit cheese head bolt (hexagon socket a/f 5, M6 x 30) at the top -2-  on the electronic adjuster.

    Tool recommendation as for removal

    Using tools:

  3. Fit and tighten two cheese head bolts (hexagon socket a/f 5, M6 x 30) -1-  on the electronic adjuster.

    → Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ft. lb.) 

    Tool recommendation as for removal

  4. Tighten the third cheese head bolt on the electronic adjuster -> Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ft. lb.)  .

    Tool recommendation as for removal 

  5. Press the ball joint of the new actuating rod -1-  onto the turbocharger.

  6. Connect cable plug on the electronic adjuster.
