Installing Front Silencer

Grease sliding bases and screw thread lightly with Optimoly HT high-temperature grease (Part No. 999.917.728.00).
Swivel front silencer -1- in sideways.

Slide pipe adapter with new seals -2- onto the rear silencer.

Fit sealing ring on exhaust manifold and tighten M8 cheese head bolt at the clamp -1- .

Fit and tighten two new M8 lock nuts -3- on the front silencer holder -2- .
→ Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ft. lb.)

Align clamp on the exhaust manifold and tighten M8 cheese head bolt.
→ Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ft. lb.)
Fit and tighten new lock nuts -1- at the joint between the front silencer and rear silencer.
→ Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ft. lb.)
