Installing Rear Connecting Link (Suspension/Stabilizer)

  1. Install connecting link (suspension/stabilizer). Make sure that anti-roll bar is positioned correctly.

    Use new lock nuts.

    Observe the specified tightening torque.

    Tighten the lock nuts in three steps (step 1: tighten to 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)/step 2: loosen by 90°/step 3: tighten to 65 Nm (48 ftlb.)) → 4201TW TIGHTENING TORQUES FOR REAR AXLE .

    1. 1  - Not used as standard
    2. 2  - 911 GT2 (997)/911 GT2 RS/911 GT3/GT3 RS as of 2010 model and 911 GT3 RS 4.0 (2011 model)
    3. 3  - 911 GT3/911 GT3 RS (997) up to 2009 model with 911 GT2 anti-roll bar (diameter = 25.2 x 4.4 mm/0.99 x 0.17 inches)
    4. 4  - 911 GT3/911 GT3 RS (997) with standard anti-roll bar up to 2009 model  (diameter = 23.6 x 3.5 mm/0.93 x 0.14 inches)
