Installing Anti-Roll Bar

The 911 GT2 (997) anti-roll bar can be installed on the 911 GT3 and GT3 RS (997) (different diameters).

Anti-roll bar diameter (installed as standard): 911 GT3/GT3 RS = 23.6 x 3.5 mm (0.93 x 0.14 inches)/911 GT2 = 25.2 x 4.4 mm (0.99 x 0.17 inches).

  1. Install rear anti-roll bar.

Always tighten the connecting links (suspension/stabilizers) in three steps (Step 1: tighten to 50 Nm (37 ftlb.). Step 2: loosen by 90 degrees. Step 3: tighten to 65 Nm (48 ftlb.))!

On 911 GT vehicles (adjustable anti-roll bar), check the position of the connecting links (suspension/stabilizer) at the anti-roll bar (GT3/GT3 RS/GT2). Figure shows the position -2-  .

The setting/position is specified in the following 4400TW ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT
