Subsequent Work

  1. Fit wheel → 440519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL .
  2. If the wheel bearing or the wheel bearing housing has been replaced, tighten the central nut at the wheel carrier at the side of the wheel to 460 Nm (340 ftlb.). Actuate the brake while doing this.
  3. Check all wheel alignment values and set any values that are outside of the tolerance range → 449503 SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT COMPLETE .

    If assembly work was performed or parts replaced that affect the vehicle height, a complete suspension alignment is necessary (check vehicle height/wheel loads and wheel alignment values and set any values that are outside of the tolerance range).

    Then install cover over spring-strut supporting mount.

    Once the assembly work has been completed and the wheel alignment values have been set (if necessary), check all wheels for clearance.

  4. Fit front underbody panel → 519219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT COVER .
