Installing Cover For Final Drive

Sealing ring must always be replaced.
1. 1.1. Fit sealing ring on cover without twisting it.
2. 1.2. Coat sealing ring with Vaseline.
Install cover for final drive.
1. 2.1. Fit cover for final drive on the transmission and position it using a centering pin 9321 .
2. 2.2. Screw in screws between the cover and transmission.
  → Tightening torque: 25 Nm (19 ft. lb.)

Install halfshaft flange.

1. 3.1. Replace circlip -A- for the halfshaft flange. To do this, clamp the flange in the vice with a hexagon-head bolt -B- and press the circlip out with the new circlip -A- .
2. 3.2. Grease circlip -A- for easier fitting.
3. 3.3. Drive halfshaft flange -arrow- into transmission using a rubber hammer.
