Preliminary Work

  1. Raise the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.

    → 4X00IN01 LIFTING THE VEHICLE

  2. Remove right rear wheel.

    → 440519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL - Removing

  3. Remove underbody panelling.

    → WM 519419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR REAR UNDERBODY - section on "Removing"

  4. Remove right drive shaft.

    → WM 422119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR DRIVE SHAFT (ALL MODELS) - section on "Removing"
