Adjusting Convertible-Top Compartment Lid

Information 

• The side adjusting elements on the side panel must be set in such a way that there is slight preload on the adjusting elements when the convertible-top compartment lid is fully closed. 
• The preload must be equal on the left and right. 

Any excess force can be corrected by screwing the adjusting elements in and out.

1. 2.1. Check the contours with respect to the side panels, rear cover and rear lid. → 5000IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS

2. 2.2. Lift up the convertible-top compartment lid and pull it fully to the rear.
3. 2.3. Loosen fastening nuts on convertible-top compartment lid.
4. 2.4. Move the convertible-top compartment lid at the hinges to adjust the contours. Adjust the hinges if necessary.
5. 2.5. Screw on fastening nuts on convertible-top compartment lid. → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.) 
6. 2.6. Close the convertible top and check the contours.
