Adjusting Linkage For Rear Cover

Information 

• The precondition for exact adjustment of the linkage for the rear cover is that the convertible-top compartment lid is perfectly adjusted and correctly locked in accordance with the joining plan. →  WM 5X00IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS (ALL MODELS) 

1. Open cover flaps for roll-over bar -arrows-  .

2. Check the alignment with respect to the convertible-top compartment lid and B-pillar and correct it by moving them if necessary. → Gap dimension A: 7 mm 1 mm → Gap dimension B: 2 mm 1.3 mm

3. Screw in and tighten fastening screws -1, 2-  through the opening in the convertible-top compartment lid -3-  and passenger compartment. → Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 ft. lb.)

4. Close cover flaps for roll-over bar.
