Bleeding The Pump Unit

  1. Pump unit
  2. Wire harness
  3. Hydraulic cylinder, left
  4. Hydraulic line, short
  5. Hydraulic cylinder, right
  6. Hydraulic line, long

  1. Move both hydraulic cylinders out.
    1. 1.1. Move both hydraulic cylinders out by the -dimension X-  . → Length: 15 mm+5 mm 

      To do this, connect the -wide contact-  to 8V (+) and the -narrow contact-  to ground (--).

      Information 

      Trapped air will escape via the banjo bolt while the hydraulic cylinder moves downwards.

      Information 

      Wipe up emerging Pentosin with a cloth.

      Information 

      Counter at the hydraulic line with an open-ended wrench when tightening the banjo bolt.

  2. Bleed the pump unit via the hydraulic lines on the two hydraulic cylinders.
    1. 2.1. Slowly open the banjo bolt -2-  on one hydraulic cylinder -1-  until the hydraulic cylinder -1-  moves slowly downwards. As soon as the hydraulic cylinder -1-  reaches the lower mechanical stop, tighten the banjo bolt -2-  . → Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ftlb.) 
    2. 2.2. Slowly open the banjo bolt -2-  on the second hydraulic cylinder -1-  until the hydraulic cylinder -1-  moves slowly downwards. As soon as the hydraulic cylinder -1-  reaches the lower mechanical stop, tighten the banjo bolt -2-  . → Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)

  3. Press cap -2-  onto the hydraulic cylinder -1-  .
