Installing Rear Wheel Cover
Information
Processing instructions for affixing adhesive tape
Surface condition:
- Surfaces must be dry, free of dust, oil, oxide release agents and other impurities (e.g. no paint mist, no condensation)
- To remove soiling, clean the surfaces with isopropanol or another suitable cleaning agent that does not leave a residue and does not attack the substrate.
- Use clean, lint-free disposable cloths to clean the surfaces.
- Prime the bonding area and allow to dry off.
- Do not touch the bonding surfaces with your fingers.
Temperature:
- The object and ambient temperature must be at least 18 °C for bonding.
- The material temperature should be maintained so that there are no dew-point differences (no condensation)
Contact pressure :
- Press briefly and firmly on the bonding area to achieve optimal surface contact.
Optimal adhesion of the components is guaranteed after approx. 24 hours. Do not apply excessive pressure on the components and do not wash the vehicle during this period.
Information
Allow approx. 20 mm extra on top of the required lengths as a pulling aid (protective film without adhesive tape). The pulling aid makes it easier to pull off the protective film when the wheel cover is fitted.
- Clean bonding areas.
