Adjusting rear lid

  1. By moving the rear lid -2-  at the hinges -4-  , adjust the contours with respect to the side panel, tail lights, rear centre panel (hood compartment lid) and rear apron. → 5000IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS

  2. Tighten fastening screws -1-  . → : 9.7 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 
  3. Tighten fastening screws -3-  . → : 9.7 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 

    Information 

    • The side adjusting elements on the rear lid must be adjusted so that there is a slight preload when the rear lid is closed completely. 
    • The preload must be the same on the left and right. 
  4. Screw out adjusting element until there is contact with the cross member/side panel.
  5. Screw out adjusting elements by max. half a turn and check gap dimensions of rear lid. → 5000IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS

    The setting can be changed by screwing in the adjusting elements.
