Installing Front Seat Frame

Information 

Two persons are needed to remove and install the backrest shell.

→ Always replace fastening screws on seat shell.

→ Never make alterations to the micro-self-locking screws (e.g. never use lubricant, loosen bolts, and screw them down again).

1. Position the seat shell -2-  on the bracket -3-  (-arrows-  ) and secure with the fastening screws -1-  at the left and right. → Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 ftlb.)+3 Nm (+2 ftlb.)

   Information 

   • Only for passenger seat in USA/Canada vehicles. 
2. Secure wire harness for AWS.
   1. 2.1. Connect connector to the AWS control unit -arrow-  until the connector engages securely.

   2. 2.2. Secure wire harness for AWS to the seat shell at the left and right using new tie-wraps -1-  .

3. Remove adhesive tape -2-  on the seat shell -1-  at the left and right.
