Removing ATF Thermostat

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Place oil collecting container underneath the vehicle.
    WARNING: Hot fluid
    • Danger of scalding

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    Information 

    • Counter when loosening the ATF lines. 
  2. Undo ATF line screw connection on cooler side -arrows-  at the thermostat.

  3. Unscrew fastening screw -2-  securing ATF line to thermostat.

  4. Unscrew fastening screw -1-  securing ATF thermostat to cooler.

    Information 

    • To prevent oil from spreading into the body front section, a material 00000 should be held underneath. 
  5. Hold shop-made tool material 00000 -illustration-  under the ATF thermostat.

  6. Disconnect ATF lines from thermostat and drain off ATF.
  7. Remove thermostat.
