Removing Front Spoiler

  1. Press locking pins -1-  through and unclip the expanding clip -arrow-  .

    Information 

    • The adhesive tape protects the paintwork on the front apron from damage when removing the front spoiler. 
  2. Mask the front apron -2-  with adhesive tape -1-  .

  3. Heat the front spoiler -1-  in the marked area -A-  with the hot-air blower v.a.g 1416  .

  4. Insert a plastic wedge between the front spoiler -1-  and front apron -2-  and loosen the bonded joint.
  5. Loosen the front spoiler -1-  , starting at the middle, and remove it carefully -arrow-  .

  7. Remove adhesive residue -A-  on the front apron -2-  using the film eraser Nr.174 Pos.1  and holder Nr.174 Pos.2  .
  8. Pull off adhesive tape -1-  (-arrow-  ) and clean bonding surfaces with isopropanol.

  9. Scrape off adhesive residue on the front spoiler using a metal scraper.

  10. Clean bonding surfaces with isopropanol.
