Removing The Oil Pan

→ Ventilate the work area well.

→ Never ingest or inhale.

→ Read specific information on the Hazard Sheet.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Do not smoke, eat or drink in the work area.

→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.

→ Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.

→ Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.

1. Disconnect electrical plug -a-  on the oil level sensor.

2. Unscrew four fastening screws between oil pan and transmission.
3. Unscrew oil pan fastening screws opposite to the order shown - also von 25 nach 1 -.

4. Remove oil pan.
   1. 4.1. Detach adhered oil pan by knocking lightly with a rubber hammer.
   2. 4.2. Remove any residual sealant on the crankcase using a plastic wedge.
   3. 4.3. Clean sealing surfaces thoroughly.
   4. 4.4. Remove any residual silicone using a special plastic brush.
