Adjusting And Aligning Tailpipes

NOTE: Tailpipe not fitted correctly
  • Components can heat up

→ Observe exact gap dimensions.

→ After the test drive, check the gap dimensions again and re-adjust if necessary.

Information 

If the gap dimensions of the tailpipes with respect to the rear apron are different due to design changes, the tailpipes must be adjusted to a uniform distance from the rear apron.

V8 S/V6 tailpipe

  1. X  - Gap with respect to top of rear apron → Gap dimension X: 18 mm 
  2. Y  - Work out gap at sides to the left and right uniformly → Gap dimension Y: 20 mm 

V8 Sport/V8 Turbo tailpipe

  1. X  - Gap with respect to top of rear apron → Gap dimension X: 18 mm 
  2. Y  - Work out gap at sides to the left and right uniformly → Gap dimension Y: 20 mm

  1. X  - Gap with respect to top of rear apron → Gap dimension X: 7 mm 
  2. Y  - Work out gap at sides to the left and right uniformly → Gap dimension Y: 7 mm
