Removing Sealing Ring For Crankshaft (Transmission Side)

- Radial shaft seal (use protection cap for radial shaft seal for fitting; only fit when crankcase is screwed on)
- Crankcase

- Use the drift punch, 1-mm tip Nr.167
to beat a small hole at a non-rubberised spot (rectangular window in the ring) on the sealing ring.

- Screw in the extractor tip. Use the slide hammer kit Nr.168
to knock out the extractor tip together with the sealing ring. Alternatively, you can screw in a suitable tapping screw and pull out the sealing ring using a pliers.

- Clean the crankshaft flange. The crankshaft flange must not be dirty or rusty. If necessary, clean it with brake cleaner and sand off any rust with a metal-polishing pad (e.g. Never Dull).
