Potentiometer footwell lights: Notes

NOTE:
  • Vehicles with the coding 'comfort': After operating the 'central interior light off-switch (button)', the voltage supply to the roof console is interrupted!
  • Interruption of the voltage supply in these vehicles leads to a fault entry in the fault memory.
  • Before starting troubleshooting, the functionality of the footwell lights must be checked!
  • Please erase fault memory and read out again!
  • The fault 'potentiometer footwell lights' is stored again.
  • Only if the functionality of the footwell lights is impaired must troubleshooting be carried out!
  • If functionality is correct, no real fault is present, the apparent fault being caused by operating the 'central interior light off-switch (button)'!
  • The fault should be ignored in this case as, after every actuation of the 'central interior light off-switch (button)', the fault entry 'potentiometer footwell lights' is made in the fault memory.
