Fitting Front Side Section
- Prepare repair part.
- 1.1. Cut through the front side section at the A-pillar in area -A-
using the oscillating body saw. Maintain the dimension -X3-
→ Cut dimension, new part: 200 mm
.
Information
- The upper edge of the rectangular opening on the A-pillar is used as the lower reference line for taking measurements.
- 1.2. Ensure that the repair part in the area of the cut overlaps by -X4-
→ Overlap: 30 mm
over the remaining section of the vehicle.
Information
- The upper edge of the upper door hinge mounting on the B-pillar is used as the lower reference line for taking measurements.
- 1.3. Cut through the front side section at the B-pillar in area -A- using the oscillating body saw. Maintain the dimension -X5- → Cut dimension, new part: 130 mm .
- 1.4. Ensure that the repair part in the area of the cut overlaps by -X6- → Overlap: 50 mm over the remaining section of the vehicle.
- 1.5. The overlap -X7- → Overlap: 50 mm on the wheel arch is automatically defined when the cut is made.
- 1.6. Remove upper end piece of front side section.
