Securing Lock Carrier

Slide the lock carrier into installation position.

1. 1.1. To prevent damage to accessories, slide the lock carrier back into installation position evenly on both sides.
Screw in fastening screws -5- .

1. 2.1. Screw in fastening screws on both sides of the vehicle and tighten slightly.
Unscrew service fastening screws -4- .

1. 3.1. Unscrew service fastening screws on both sides of the vehicle.
Screw in fastening screws -3- and tighten slightly.

1. 4.1. Screw in fastening screws on both sides of the vehicle and tighten slightly.
2. 4.2. Position the lock carrier according to the existing impressions.
Secure the lock carrier in installation position.
1. 5.1. Screw in fastening screws -6 and 7- on both sides of the vehicle and tighten slightly.

Adjust the lock carrier.
Tighten the fastening screws on the lock carrier.
1. 7.1. Tighten fastening screws -3-, -5-, -6 and 7- to the specified tightening torque. → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ft lbs.)+/-1 Nm (+/-0.5 ft lbs.) → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ft lbs.)+/-1 Nm (+/-0.5 ft lbs.) → Tightening torque: 65 Nm (48 ft lbs.)+/-10 Nm (+/-7.5 ft lbs.)

Fasten guide rails on the front apron at the side.
Connect the air guide.
1. 9.1. Connect the air guide to the air cleaner housing -8- .

Attach the charge air cooler.
Turbo only
1. 10.1. Insert spacers -17- .
2. 10.2. Screw in fastening screws -16- and tighten to the specified tightening torque. → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ft lbs.)+/-1 Nm (+/-0.5 ft lbs.)

Install side air guides.
Turbo only
1. 11.1. Position the side air guide -15- and move it to the centre of the vehicle until it engages.
2. 11.2. Position and clip in air sensor wire harness -14- .

Attach the front lid seal close to the lock carrier.
1. 12.1. Removing and installing front lid seal
Connect electric plug connection -9- .

1. 13.1. Connect the electric plug connection on the left side of the vehicle.
Install rubber covers.
1. 14.1. Fit the right rubber cover -1- from above and press in the rubber tabs.

2. 14.2. Fit the left rubber cover -2- from above and press in the rubber tabs.
