Preliminary work

  1. Before the starter can be removed, the battery must be disconnected and the terminal covered. → WM 9000IN WORK INSTRUCTIONS AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY (ALL MODELS) .
  2. Remove intake-air distributor. → Removing Intake-Air Distributor
  3. Remove fuel distribution pipe (fuel rail) on DFI engines. → Removing Fuel Distribution Pipe (Fuel Rail)
